The Goodwill Project – Official Rules
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN
The Goodwill Project (“Contest”) is sponsored by The CommAlert Group (“Sponsor”). This contest is governed by these official rules (“Official Rules”). By participating in the Contest, each entrant agrees to abide by these Official Rules, including all eligibility requirements and understands that the results of the contest, as determined by Sponsor and its agents, are final in all respects. The contest is subject to all federal, provincial and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited by law.
This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, or Twitter. Any questions, comments or complaints regarding the promotion will be directed to Sponsor, not Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, or Twitter.
ELIGIBILITY
The Contest is open to legal residents of their respective countries where not prohibited by law, who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry, who own and operate a business in Edmonton, Alberta. Sponsor has the right to verify the eligibility of each entrant.
PRIZES
The selected business will receive a two-year lease of an office space located at Suite 1104, RBC Building 10117- Jasper Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta, T5J 1W8. Included with the two-year lease is the furniture already in the office, a printer, and internet service for two years. The winning company will be chosen by The Goodwill Project Panel, which was recruited by the Sponsor.
Terms and conditions:
All prizes must be redeemed during the timeframe listed: January 5, 2022.
*Two-year lease of the office at Suite 1104, RBC Building 10117- Jasper Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta, T5J 1W8. The lease will remain under the Sponsor (The CommAlert Group) and will be paid by the Sponsor until it expires on December 31, 2023.
When the lease expires on December 31, 2023, it will not be renewed by the Sponsor. The prize winner will be responsible to renew the lease as per an agreement with the building owner and management company “Melcor Developments”. The Sponsor is not responsible for the lease or the agreement once the two-year term is expired.
**Internet. Shaw internet service will be provided by the Sponsor until December 31, 2023. After that time, the winning company is responsible to acquire service from the provider of their choice.
***Furniture for two years. The office is fully furnished including conference room table and chairs, office desks and chairs, stools, tables, and an office printer. At the end of the two-year term, this furniture will be returned to the Sponsor. The winning company will be responsible for furnishing the office if they choose to sign a new lease with Melcor Developments. The furniture must not be removed from the office, sold, or given away at any time.
Incidental expenses and all other costs and expenses which are not specifically listed as part of a prize in these Official Rules and which may be associated with the award, acceptance, receipt and use of all or any portion of the awarded prize are solely the responsibility of the respective prize winner. This means that any costs in addition to the two-year lease, furniture present in the office, and internet service will be the sole responsibility of the winning company.
CONTEST RUN DATES
The Contest will run from November 16, 2021 (11:00 AM Mountain Time) through December 10, 2021 (8:00 PM Mountain Time). Five selected companies will be notified by December 16, 2021. The companies must respond within twenty-four (24) hours or will be disqualified from the competition. Qualified companies will present their company and make their pitch to a live panel (The Goodwill Project Panel) at the office on January 4, 2022. The winner will be chosen after the pitch event on January 4, 2022.
HOW TO ENTER
Participants can enter the Contest by entering to win via the contest entry page through The CommAlert Group’s website at www.commalert.com/goodwill.
WINNER SELECTION
The winner will be selected by The Goodwill Project Panel, based on their presentation. The panel will use their professional experience and opinion to choose a winning company that aligns best with the project’s goals: to support an Edmonton business that values diversity and makes strong contributions to the Edmonton community and the world. The winner will be selected by January 5th, 2021. They will be notified by the Sponsor.
Each entrant is responsible for monitoring his/her email and/or voicemail messages and phone calls for prize notification and receipt or other communications related to the Contest. Due to the time-sensitivity of the Contest, if a potential prize winner cannot be reached by Sponsor within twenty-four (24) hours after their panel discussion, using the contact information provided at the time of entry, that potential prize winner shall forfeit the prize. The prize may not be awarded if an insufficient number of eligible entries are received.
ADDITIONAL LIMITATIONS
The prize is non-transferable. No substitution or cash equivalent of prizes is permitted. Sponsor and its respective parent, affiliate and subsidiary companies, agents, and representatives are not responsible for any typographical or other errors in the offer or administration of the Contest, including, but not limited to, errors in any printing or posting or these Official Rules, the selection and announcement of any winner, or the distribution of any prize. Any attempt to damage the content or operation of this Contest is unlawful and subject to possible legal action by Sponsor. Sponsor reserves the right to terminate, suspend or amend the Contest, without notice, and for any reason, including, without limitation, if Sponsor determines that the Contest cannot be conducted as planned or should a virus, bug, tampering or unauthorized intervention, technical failure or other cause beyond Sponsor’s control corrupt the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper play of the Contest. In the event any tampering or unauthorized intervention may have occurred, Sponsor reserves the right to void suspect entries at issue. Sponsor and its respective parent, affiliate and subsidiary companies, agents, and representatives, and any telephone network or service providers, are not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry information, or for any human error, technical malfunction, lost or delayed data transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, line failure or malfunction of any telephone network, computer equipment or software, the inability to access any website or online service or any other error, human or otherwise.
PUBLICITY
By participating, each entrant grants Sponsor permission to use his/her name, likeness or comments for publicity purposes without payment of additional consideration, except where prohibited by law. This includes publishing the name and/or photo of the winner of the Contest.
