Indigenous social enterprise

CommAlert Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a social enterprise that encourages businesses and individuals to support and participate in economic and cultural reconciliation. We do this through our Amplify Reciprocity fund, or investors can have a more immersive experience through membership with The Champions Effect.

CommAlert CSR believes that story-telling, knowledge-sharing, reclaiming cultural lands and language, and investments in Indigenous enterprise are vital to reconciliation. We create opportunities that achieve several of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action. We believe that reconciliation is important every day of the year. Therefore, we operate under the banner of Reconciliation365.

CommAlert CSR partners with businesses that can donate a percentage of their gross sales each year or invest in projects within the Amplify Reciprocity portfolio. Our revenue is generated through donations, grant funding, and investment in indigenous social enterprises. Projects are of various sizes, ranging from small micro-grants to large capital projects throughout Turtle Island.

In addition, we welcome members to join The Champions Effect. This membership program offers world-class retreats for Indigenous learning, community building and reconciliation. We show partners how to incorporate Indigenous learning into Western culture and business structures. 50% of the membership fee goes into the Amplify Reciprocity fund.

Reconciliation, partnership and growth

Our approach fosters Indigenous economic growth, strengthens partnerships, and empowers Indigenous communities through sustained commitment. This can bridge the economic gap between Indigenous and non-Indigenous populations. Our revenue model directs funds towards language projects and initiatives across Turtle Island. Investing in Indigenous social enterprises fosters cultural preservation and revitalization.

Unlike traditional programs, ours promotes economic reconciliation through a framework of mutual respect, understanding, and collaboration among communities, corporations, and philanthropic partners. In addition, our approach emphasizes long-term commitment and cooperation. We want to create sustainable and long-lasting opportunities for reconciliation, partnerships, and growth.

Together, we can build a future where Indigenous communities thrive economically, culturally, and socially. Together, we can pave the way for a more equitable and inclusive society for all.
