If you live in the Edmonton area, check out Wow! Factor Desserts

Since the beginning of the pandemic, The Commalert Group has focused on supporting our team members and local businesses across the country.

To help support our neighbours in our local communities, CommAlert has appointed a Community Manager in each of our locations. This person lives in your local community and supports individuals and businesses by promoting them online through CommAlert’s blog and social channels. We call this initiative, “Say It Forward.”

We hope to inspire other local people and businesses in the community to join together and promote each other during these challenging times.

Wow! Factor Desserts is the first local business we would like to support publicly. We chose Wow! Factor Desserts for many reasons. We especially appreciate how supportive they’ve been to worthy causes in the community of Sherwood Park, Alberta. The Robin Hood Association is one organization they support.

We’re glad to support our community liaison, Jennifer Armstong-Clish, and the two CommAlert team members who live and work in Sherwood Park and Strathcona County. Please read on to learn more about Wow! Factor Desserts, and how you can help out this holiday season.

Introducing Wow! Factor Desserts

“You can’t buy happiness, but you can buy cheesecake (and it’s kind of the same thing).”

Wow! Factor Desserts has been making amazingly delicious desserts for almost 40 years. This family-owned and operated company employs over 80 people across the country, and their products are made right here, in Sherwood Park, Alberta!

WOW! offers a wide selection of gourmet pre-portioned cheesecakes, cakes, tortes, pies, individual serving desserts, sheet cakes, and banquet cakes for the food service industry and individuals. Learn more.

Supporters of local non-profit organizations

This December, Wow! Factor Desserts will donate $5.00 for every full-sized, regularly priced cake purchased. The donations will be split equally between Sherwood Park and Edmonton Food Banks.

The desserts are decadent and certainly something you should try this holiday season, but what we love about Wow! Factor Desserts is how they contribute to our community year-round. They are proud supporters of the Robin Hood Association. For nearly 30 years, they’ve employed people from the Robin Hood Association, a local organization that gives assistance and job opportunities for people with disabilities.

Our friends at Wow! Factor Desserts support other meaningful organizations in our community. These include Young Life Canada, Hope Mission, Bissell Centre, Mustard Seed, YESS, Edmonton Dream Centre, CCFCC, the Salvation Army, and many others.

How you can help Wow! Factor Desserts this holiday season

They’re usually packed shoulder-to-shoulder this time of year, as people pick up their desserts for the holidays. This year obviously, that can’t happen. Also, they don’t want their customers to have to wait in line outside. Managing the Christmas rush will be a challenge, but you can help by ordering early, getting curbside pickup and home delivery

Home delivery is available Monday through Friday until December 23rd, with a one cake minimum and $8 delivery charge. Deliver only covers regular cakes, not thrifts or slices.

Order this week and you’ll get 10% off regular-priced cakes through December 22nd, 2020.

Enjoy 50% off thrifts for the month of December.

And remember, cakes and desserts are still wonderful after the holiday season. Remember to show your support to Wow! Factor Desserts as we enter the new year.
