Earlier this month, Tim Carwell, citizen of Beaver First Nation, President of The CommAlert Group, and Sherwood Park resident, received an Official Notification of Appointment of Trustee to Strathcona County Community Hospital Foundation (STCHF).
Carwell began his three-year term on the Board of Directors on June 1, 2022.
About the Strathcona County Community Hospital Foundation
The STCHF supports the Strathcona Community Hospital in providing and accelerating health care and services for our community. The foundation’s mandate is to assist the hospital, its patients, programs, staff, and services by providing enhancements and fundraising that are not usually part of regular healthcare funding.
STCHF raises funds through events, community donations, capital campaigns, grants, etc. and aims to contribute to a positive health experience for our community.
The foundation does this through ongoing community engagement, corporate partnerships, and recognizing contributors and their contributions.
Giving back to the community
“The Strathcona Community Hospital supports our community, and I want to be a part of that support. I grew up here and raised my children here, and I believe it’s essential for the community to have access to the best healthcare services possible. I’m happy to be involved with this important foundation.” – Tim Carwell
Carwell is rooted in the local community and has built a reputation through philanthropy. Carwell organized various initiatives throughout the pandemic that helped business owners and entrepreneurs navigate the pandemic. Those initiatives, along with the donation of his time and money, landed him the Mayor’s Award of Excellence in 2021.
Carwell is also the President of The CommAlert Group, an emergency communications company that offers crisis communications, emergency alerts, and lone worker monitoring services.
“I’m really looking forward to serving on this board. I believe my experience as a First Nation business owner, my position in the business community, and deep roots in Strathcona County can make a helpful contribution.” – Tim Carwell
