CommAlert proudly sponsors athletes at the North American Indigenous Games

The CommAlert Group is proud to support two athletes in the North American Indigenous Games (NAIG) 2023 in Halifax this summer. This event brings together more than 5,000 athletes ages 13 to 19, coaches, and team staff from over 756 Indigenous nations across Canada!

Team Alberta – Volleyball

We are cheering on Savannah Lambert on Team Alberta U19 Female Volleyball. Savannah is a citizen of Beaver First Nation, located near Fort Vermillion, Alberta, in Treaty 8. We are proud to support an athlete from CommAlert’s owner’s Nation. Her team is moving its way toward the finals, having just defeated Team NWT in the quarter-finals.

Team Alberta – Archery

We are also rooting for Nikkita Beaver-Ear, competing with Team Albert in Archery at the NAIG. Nikkita is from the Chiniki First Nation, west of Calgary, Alberta, in Treaty 6. Nikkita joined an after-school archery program just last year and is now shooting for a top spot among some of Norther America’s best young archers. Read Nikkita’s story.

NAIG brings together Indigenous Nations in celebrating, sharing and reconnecting through sport and culture. We are proud to be a part of it and cheer our athletes on!
