The necessity to overhaul our website arises from many exciting improvements and changes at CommAlert in the past year, and signifies a new direction for the years to come. On December 15 of 2007, CommAlert formed a strategic alliance with Rescue Training Institute - respected experts in incident and emergency management consulting - and we will be looking to Daryl Black to govern all Emergency Operations and Preparedness aspects of the CommAlert system. As like-minded businesses with different expertise, CommAlert and RTI will increase their long term viability through this diversification, while providing even greater service to clients through enhanced skills and vision.

Daryl Black started RTI in 1992, and has served as first responder at Hurricane Katrina and Rita as well as hundreds of other incidents, acquiring real-world experience and developing the determination necessary to manage even the most severe emergencies. Dedicated to leadership as well as education, Daryl has served as President of the Edmonton Regional Search and Rescue Association and is an active and vocal advocate within his field. When not busy saving lives and improving industry safety, Daryl works as an instructor of Emergency Management at Grant MacEwan College in Edmonton, Alberta. CommAlert welcomes Daryl and RTI to our growing family with great anticipation for success and growth in the coming year!
